Whew….what a year!
As the summer wrapped up, we enjoyed time outside playing in the hose, going to the pool and catching lighting bugs. We spent a lot of time on the golf cart too. Brecken LOVES going for rides on it around the block. He will just watch everyone was pass, sit close to me and is content as can be.
Jason has turtles – to say he is obsessed would be a major understatement! He has big plans for these someday and I fear it’s in the near future. I have a feeling there is going to be a big pond in our yard where these turtles will be laying eggs all over the nation hatching more turtles into our lives. I didn’t get any of this documented, but Jason actually rescued 48 eggs, tucked them away in an incubator, and waited for them to hatch. Did I mention this was in the basement at our house? Oh, yeah. Forgot that part. It was a pretty cool experiment for Aubrey, I must say (just don’t tell Jason I said that). Well, about 47 of those eggs hatched and we raised them for a few weeks, let them into nature, and gave a few away.
Here are a few of the ones he purchased. I will admit that these things are pretty neat looking. I like to give him a hard time, but I do enjoy them.
Aubrey started her second year of preschool at Second Presbyterian Church! She was more than excited to see everyone. A little different than last year, I must say. So, she picked out her outfit for the day (her favorite dress still 3 months later), her shoes of choice, and was out the door. She loved her first day!!
