Aubrey seriously couldn’t be a better big sister. She takes such good care of Brecken in the best way she knows how. When she brushes her teeth, he comes running to her while she loads his toothbrush for him. She helps get him drinks and snacks. She holds his hand across parking lots. She comforts him while he is crying and she reads with him at night. It honestly brings a tear to my eye how much he adores her and how much she loves him. Aubrey’s recent words (at the age of 4.75 years): “Mom, I love Brecken. I love him so much and things just wouldn’t be the same without him here. I would be so lonely. I don’t ever want anything to happen to him. He is my little brother.” Yes, my dear. He is all of those things and he is amazing! I assured her that she is also amazing and the best big sister! I only hope this relationship continues…. indefinitely!
Talking about all these things makes me want to capture them in everyday life even more – brushing teeth, walking together hand in hand, playing. That will be my goal!
So these photos were taken on a Saturday morning. We like to sleep in a little and when the kids wake up, they snuggle with us in bed for a little while. Aubrey loves her ipad movies and Brecken loves Aubrey. Aubrey laid down to watch a movie and Brecken snuggled right up there with her. They laid like this for a good 15 minutes (until Brecken decided he wanted to play on the ipad instead of watch girlie shows). So glad I have these to remember forever!
