Aubrey has been obsessed with dressing herself since I can remember. Probably about 2 years old. She always has
an opinion, a preference, an idea, an attitude input about her attire – every single day! She will often change her clothes at least once during the day, usually twice or more. She is constantly striving for Princess status. “Mom, do I look like a beautiful princess?” she asks with her toe pointed forward, leg extended and hips turned to the side, one hand on her hip, as she tilts her chin up and bats her wide eyes at me. Where does she get this stuff?! She has gotten pretty good at learning to coordinate/match her clothes, however, I wouldn’t say she has mastered it by any means! Today was a weekend day and we were bumming around the house as usual. Of course, she cannot wear just her comfys….oh no! Instead, she finds the most eccentric clothing and accessories she owns and puts them together and makes an outfit. She reminds me of my best friend Amanda in college. Always trying to get away with pairing all her favorites in one outfit. Well, after much work putting together, by far, the best outfit she can manage for the day morning, she plum neglected her hair!! This, my friends, is Aubrey’s hair on a good hair day after waking in the morning. Hey, at least she added a headband (and it matches her purse!). Oh, and nevermind her lack of pants. She has ‘leg warmers’ on.
Can’t forget her friends!!
Dancing is hard work – enter thumb sucking.
As you can see Aubrey has passed some of her fashion advice onto Brecken! This kid is infatuated with boots and hats.
No weekend would be complete without
beating up wrestling with Daddy! He’s such a good sport!
oh man, that hair!
Again with the hat!
