Yet again, we get hit with another snow storm and it’s March. Just when we hoped to be headed to spring!! Well, we made the most of it and went out and made a snowman, shoveled our cars out, and let the kids have at it! Ok, well, truth be told, we didn’t prepare for this winter like we should have with the kids attire. Aubrey had a winter coat, but not really one I would say was appropriate for playing outside! She was also missing snow boots….we what did we do?! We improvised with some good ole plastic shopping bags and some duck tape!! At first, she was pretty mad that she didn’t look “cute.” I think she might have been quite upset that we wouldn’t stop hysterically laughing either. Well, she got over it and moved on to play outside and have fun! Brecken….well, he had a coat and snow pants, but no boots. I found these in the garage in a box for the good will and, wouldn’t you know….they fit. Didn’t think he minded – after all, they were pink and frilly. Just up is alley. Pics are that great, but the story is and that’s what matters when documenting your family. I used to throw out all the photos that weren’t technically good, or that we blurry or not tack sharp. However, I’ve learned that if I love the photo, I am keeping it no matter what because of what it reminds me of and how it makes me feel!
