2017 Tree Farm Mini Sessions | Bloomington IL
My job has serious perks – one being that you get to spend time with your friends that you otherwise wouldn’t normally get to see so often. Jamie and I met in collage — Eastern Illinois University — many years ago. We lived across the hall from each other as sorority sisters and practically spent every waking moment together. It’s crazy how much life changes when you grow up, start having a family and some move away. I consider this part of your life bittersweet. You meet the love of your life, marry, have children and have your own little life. On the flip side, your best friends also do the same. You lose time with them, catching up doesn’t happen as often, and visits are few and far between. I will say that Jamie has remained one of my best friends through what I call “real life.” We are ok with scattered visits, quick phone calls and funny text messages. Our lives have changed, but our friendship has not. For that, I am thankful.
Here they are, all 4.5 of them! I am so happy for them as they begin the journey as a family of five.
Well, this maternity session didn’t quite go as planned, but we made the absolute best of it by rolling with the punches (as they say). Meg ended up on bedrest for blood pressure issues early on in her pregnancy and they decided to keep her captive until the birth of her little girl.
They MD was really nice, however, and let us venture outside for some maternity photos on the grounds at OSF St. Francis in Peoria, Illinois. It was an overcast morning and the rain held off for us….thank goodness, because Meg ended up being induced the NEXT MORNING!! Whew!
I cannot wait to meet this little girl!
Sidney’s mom and I met years ago at Presence Covenant Medical Center. I couldn’t have been happier to hear that she was expecting her first child. Miss Sidney was a perfect little angel and looked great in all her pinks and tans. She rocked out the best lacy romper from The Dainty Meadow. Her mom brought in this sweetest flight nurse suit for her as well. Her mom works for AirLIFE Flight Crew and her colleagues gifted her one amazing little present.
