There is something so sweet and innocent about a shy baby. Rooney came in for her one year session and immediately, I could tell she was a mama’s girl. Although we didn’t get a big cheesy smile from her, we sure captured her big blue eyes and gorgeous pouty lips….and of course that sweet personality of hers. She did let us get some individual shots of her, but I love the one where she is safely sitting on mom’s lap. I cherish these days as my little one clings to me when new people are near.
Her cake from Pollen and Pastry was perfectly simple decorated with the most beautiful flowers.

Oh my word, this little boy was amazing and just precious. I love photographing him in my Bloomington IL Newborn studio. I also got to use my new custom made romper and hat from The Dainty Meadow, which fit him perfectly! His dark hair and chubby cheeks were to die for!
If you want to book a newborn session with me, please contact me! I can’t wait to hear from you!
Hattie entered this world with bang, as perfect as can be! I was very honored to be her newborn photographer!
The birth story Mom and Dad will get to tell their little girl when she is older will be one of a kind. While the family was out of town for a family wedding, this little girl decided it was her day instead. Waiting as long as she could, Mom couldn’t wait anymore and they headed to the hospital. On the way, Mom said, “I’m not going to make it.” And she was right. They pulled over once at a hotel, her husband ran inside to ask for help and he got back in and Mom said, “Drive!” Attempting still to make it to the nearest hospital, still an hour away from home, they pulled over again, this time in a BP gas station parking lot. A few minutes later, they welcomed their little girl, Hattie. Thanks to the 911 operator, this Dad was able to successfully help his wife bring their little girl into the world.
Funny thing is, they were waiting to find out the gender until her birth day. So, when the ambulance showed up to whisk mom, dad and baby away, they still didn’t know, as it was dark and, well, Dad hadn’t really delivered a baby before, he was strictly following the 911 operator’s strict instructions to keep baby right where she was until responders arrived. The responders grabbed baby and Mom and Dad said, “Well, is it a boy or a girl?!”
“You have a beautiful baby girl”……they said.
Now, Mom will never forget the day of her sister’s wedding anniversary, as her and Hattie share this special date!
And they lived happily ever after…..
Meet Abileen. Her mom and I have been friends since college and I was so happy to hear she was having another little one. She makes such gorgeous babies! Abileen will be well-loved in her big family with 4 brothers and sisters to keep her busy!
Her mom loves everything vintage and brought some pearls that belonged to her grandmother to wear for her newborn session. I just love them on her.

Well, my predictions were right on this little guy. During his mom’s maternity session, I guessed he was a boy.
During his newborn session in my Bloomington IL Photography Studio, he was a dream to work with. His mom and dad are big Cubs fans, so we tied in some memorabilia for them. I’m sure they are proud right now with the Cubs’ latest winnings as well.
Landon is on our Grow with Me Baby Milestone Plan, so I get to watch him grow up every 3 months!
I had been looking forward to this super stylish country side session for a while. My friend asked me about photos for her 3 girls and I was so happy to schedule them. I encouraged Mom to come dressed for photos so she could have some of them together. Although reluctant at first, she was so excited for them by the time the session had arrived. They are some of my favorite images from her session gallery.
We had gorgeous light pouring in during this session and as I show Mom the back of my camera, she says, “Wow, this is why we wait to have photos taken this late, huh? Totally worth
That’s right! This Peoria IL Photographer waits for that light – I am strict on my session times, but this is why, my friends! That golden light cannot be captured any other time!
These twin newborn girls arrived about 6 weeks before their due date and we missed out on Mom’s maternity session, but nonetheless, the baby girls arrived perfect and healthy, so everyone is thankful! Skip forward about 5 weeks and view their amazing newborn session that we did here in my Bloomington IL Newborn studio. The literally didn’t wake up once. Well, only for a few awake shots, then back to bed for them both! They were perfect little babies for me! I know mom is so excited to finally have these in her hands. She is surprising her husband with a birthday gift – he doesn’t know she had these done!! What a great gal!

How could you not fall in love with this sweet newborn baby boy?! Even though he peed on me within the first 5 minutes, I still loved him to pieces! He was so tiny at 6.2 pounds at birth, a head full of blonde hair, and the most flexible little body ever!! He didn’t wake up one time during his entire newborn session. Meet Mr. George Riley, folks!
I take no responsibility for anyone with baby fever after seeing these images – although, I will be happy to photograph your new addition in 9 months 😀
