Creek Mini Sessions are always a hit. This year was no exception, especially with the heat! Where else can you play in the water, get soaked, look cute and have pics taken? I love the lighting from these sessions. It’s always a bit magical, which is why this creek is my all time fave! Thanks for all who braved the heat with me down in the creek this year!

I was very much looking forward to doing Ryleigh’s high school senior session. I had met her on a previous “friendship” shoot a couple years back and I knew she was going to be a lot of fun in front of the camera. We had a lot of laughs and, of course, had a very successful senior photo shoot. Ryleigh is a senior at Tri-Valley High School in Downs, Illinois. My alma mater.
We started off at my family’s creek and I loved her dress!!! We got some stunning creek pictures of her. I love taking creek senior pictures. I love that it’s a little different, but yet very timeless and fun!
We then headed into a rural park in Normal. Ryleigh chose this place for the grasses and the bridges, which are also a favorite of mine. We had some gorgeous lighting that night – I love shooting these senior pictures during golden hour for this very reason!
Ryleigh is a volleyball player on Tri-Valley’s varsity team, so we met up at the school and captured some of her in her volleyball uniform in the gym. These were so fun to take and I’m super appreciative that the coach was willing to set up the net for us!
It’s that time of year again to start thinking about jeans, sweaters, apple cider and fall pictures.
Below are the available dates we have set aside to photograph your family, children, babies, loved ones, or pets! Anything, really!

I can’t wait to meet everyone new and catch up with old friends! I love seeing everyone this time of year!
This little family is so tough. I had the pleasure of meeting them when they booked me for Owen’s 3 year session this spring. Momma was expecting and asked me to document her second baby….a girl.
We planned on maternity photos and the she got put on bedrest….But we made the best of it and did them on the grounds at the hospital. It was actually pretty awesome. You can view that session here.
She ended up induced the following day, so good thing we planned it out right!
When Addison was born, Mom and Dad knew she was going to be spending some time at the hospital and were waiting to hear of discharge. Patiently waiting, they determined they were keeping her until sometime mid summer.
So, I hopped in my car again and documented their life….as it is. It’s gorgeous. They are handling things like champs, smiles on their faces, being strong for each other, for Owen, and for Addison. There is seriously nothing but love in this family.
They are so supportive of each other, encouraging and patient. I have spent quite some time with this family and can just feel their dedication to one another.
So thankful to be a part of such memories, whether they are tough at times or not, they will be so glad to have this to treasure!
Charlotte’s 1 year session was just as much fun as every other session we have had with her. She is such a ham and has so many funny and adorable facial expressions. She wouldn’t leave the blanket, as she hates grass…..but all this did was make my job a bit easier!
And how about those kitty jeans?! Adorable, right?!
Charlotte is wearing our cream romper and cream dress from Lenny Lemons — which are always available to my clients!

It was so nice to get outside and photograph people again!! Chasing kids, being silly and enjoying a sunset. I’ll take it!
