6 month sessions are among some of my favorite sessions to do during a baby’s first year. So much progress, so much personality and love. They are so happy. A nice reminder of the simple things in life — love and happiness.
I could gush on this sweet little girl all day long. As a newborn photographer, I love each and every one of the newborns that walks into my Studio located in Bloomington IL and Madeline is no exception. Her strawberry blonde hair, her chubby cheeks and of course he fuzzy little ears.
Please don’t wait to book your newborn session with Chandi Kesler Photography. Limited amount of sessions are taken each month to ensure availability.
Madeline is modeling several of my favorite items – the vendors are listed and tagged below.

Green Knit Hat: Violet Dove Organics
Cream Headband and Flower/Pearl Tieback: The Dainty Meadow
Behr is such a squishy, happy baby. I was happy to have him back to my studio for his 1 year cake smash session that his sweet mom totally themed out to Where the Wild Things Are. She had several things made for his session and I was super stoked to make a teepee for him as well. If you’re wanting to make a teepee, I followed this blog here for the instructions. I substituted the round doll rods.
All in all, the session was a success.
Oh, I have been loving on some newborns lately. I have been working so hard to catch up on all my fall sessions, I have been neglecting my blog quite a bit. I am out of order with blogging these, but I just finished up his gallery and thought, what the heck. So here is Greyson. His mom and Dad drove from Champaign to my Bloomington IL photography studio at only 7 days old!! He was perfect. Didn’t make a peep, didn’t stop to eat, no bathroom accidents, and he even opened his eyes for me! I know his mom and dad are very proud and I am so honored that I was able to do Greyson’s newborn session!

Loved this session. And Dad’s tattoos! Meet this sweet newborn girl, Adelyne.
Sometimes you meet people and they leave last impressions on you throughout your entire life. That is Tiffany. She is an amazing friend and a wonderful mother and wife. She would do anything for anyone. Period. Today, she packed up her family of 6 and made the drive from an hour and a half away to to see her Bloomington IL photographer friend – now that is an honor.
Photographing a family of 6 may overwhelm some people and, I will admit, I was nervous. It didn’t help knowing there were going to be older kids (you know those peek-a-boo tricks and duck noises don’t work for kids of all ages). However, I walked away from this session raving to mom and dad about how amazing their family is! Really, the session was fun, easy and laid back for everyone! I would do it over and over again in a heart beat!
And, again, with that gorgeous sunset – it’s all about the timing!
Shelby’s Newborn Photography Session was simple, sweet and pure perfection. She has the most beautiful lips, long dark eyelashes and gorgeous dark hair. Shelby is a part of my Milestone Baby Package so I am very much looking forward to watching this little girl grow into herself!

This was my VERY first hospital session/Fresh 48 (minus the photos I took with my own children when they were born). I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit nervous, but when I arrived to their room, the emotions of a brand new baby just took over me and I immediately knew that this was going to be one great session. These two have been through a lot before their baby arrived, from changing delivery dates, having to wait for their c-section, moving rooms, and a rough night of little sleep, but they looked gorgeous nonetheless and were smitten by their new bundle of joy, Carter!
I am blessed to have experienced photographing this kind of session in more ways than one. I love all the details: the wrinkly feet and skin, the security bands, the hospital blankets and cradle, and the smell of a brand new baby. It is one of those things that you wan to remember forever and I’m so glad this couple will always have these to cherish!
If you’re interested in a Fresh 48 hospital session, please let me know. I will be offering a VERY limited amount of these throughout the year.
This family has been in my life for a long time. We date back to college days, Josie and I. When she found out she was expecting, I was on her list of important people to notify – twice in one year! First we welcomed Emmett – that sweet little blonde haired boy packaged with a little spunk. Just shorty into our Grow with Me Plan for Emmett, we discover they are expecting again – another boy!! He will arrive before Emmett is one! IRISH TWINS!! How fun! So, as welcomed Graham into the world, his older brother Emmett celebrated his birthday just 1 month later! I have a feeling these two are going to be very best buds growing up!
For Graham’s session, well, he was a tough crowd. Very much into following his much more interesting older brother around than cooperating and sitting still for his photos for me – some crazy lady with a camera. Although so serious, he is a killer cutie, don’t you think?! Those brown eyes will melt your heart, not to mention those sweet little cheeks of his!
Well, as we wrapped up the night, he became a little sleepy – until he saw his cake. Game over. That killed KILLED his cake! Like smashed it into the ground into a pulp. Successful cake smash? YEP!
Well, this little girl is beautiful, and with a mama like Brooke, we would expect no different. Brooke and I go way back to playing with cabbage patch kids and causing mischief on our summer breaks. It was so nice to catch up with her. We have both accomplished so much in life since our Barbie days. Her and her husband just welcomed little Corrine into the world 9 short days ago! Here she is. Her session was filled with pinks, mint and lavender. I also got to use the tree stump that’s been in storage for months – thanks to my husband for carrying that massive thing down the stairs!
Pink Chunky knit Blanket (used with stump shot) – Violet Dove Organics (my shop :D)
Green and Cream Headband – Strawberry Girl Couture
White Knit Wrap – Photo Prop’s Kingdom (my favorite wraps ever!)

Where have I been, you ask?
Well, that question is a little more loaded than I care to get into at this point, but let me just say that it’s been crazy over here. We’ve had 4 birthdays, an anniversary, sick kids and an AMAZING trip to Florida with our family for a week. I’ve been having the vacation blues since we returned. I need sun, sand and an ocean in my life a little more often I think!! I could photograph people there everyday, all day!! As long as I can swim in and/or see the ocean at least once a day, I’d be happy.
So, I’m behind on blogging (obviously) and this little 3 mont old baby girl is too cute not to share. Wren is growing before my eyes and I can barely take it. Look at her massive brown eyes and her little chubby cheeks (and need I even mention her rolls?!)
PS ———- if you are thinking about booking a newborn session with me, please don’t wait. I have limited openings each month to ensure availability. I am also already booked for April, May and my summer months are QUICKLY filling up, so please don’t wait!!
